A second stimulus bill?

Congress passed a COVID relief bill that included one-time relief checks and expanded unemployment insurance back in the spring. While the House passed another pandemic relief bill (the HEROES Act) shortly thereafter, Mitch McConnell blocked it from a Senate vote, and the parts of the extra unemployment insurance that haven’t already expired are set to expire later this month. Now, a new relief bill is under consideration.

Georgia on our minds

While the 2020 presidential election is over, the battle for the Senate is still happening. In Georgia, there are two separate runoff races on January 5th, one between Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Kelly Loeffler, the other between Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican David Perdue. If Democrats win both seats, they will control the Senate.

This week at MCW, we are celebrating our four-year anniversary! Well, technically, our four-year anniversary was a few weeks ago, just after the 2020 election.
