And even though Democrats won federal elections in November, Republicans still control the majority of state legislatures. That means they determine voting laws in many states, and they want to use that power to suppress the vote even more.

It’s been a busy first week for the Biden Administration. A flurry of nominations and executive orders have halted construction of the Keystone XL pipeline and tackled the climate crisis, as well as nominating the most diverse cabinet in American history. As always, there is work left to be done pushing the new administration to stick to their commitments, so let’s get to work!
