Adaptation, mitigation, and resilience are the key pillars of tackling the climate crisis, but these concepts can also be applied to our current political and organizing reckoning. Abortion Access Going Forward
When it comes to abortion access, an impending Trump 2.0 era is causing a lot of uncertainty. No matter where you live, experts predict that things could get complicated. Take a few deep breaths… it’s yet another reproductive rights edition.
What do we do now (again)?
Almost exactly 8 years ago, just after the first Trump victory, a group of friends got together and started asking ourselves “what now?” A mix of experienced grassroots organizers and newbies, we decided to create an accessible onramp for folks new to political activism. Our vision was always that folks would “graduate” from our newsletter and find their communities and the causes that spoke to them.
We kept this up through the first Trump presidency, and then to hold Biden accountable to his progressive promises.
Today we’re back where we started, asking every one of you to take a handful of small steps to safeguard our democracy. Not one of us thinks that this will be easy. We face an emboldened Trump administration, with a landslide victory and an entire MAGA political movement at his back. What do we do now? We fight like hell, like we’ve always done. Keep loving, keep fighting. We’ll be here with you the entire time.
