Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is retiring, and Senate Republicans are gearing up to confirm whomever Trump nominates to fill his position. With five conservatives on the court, the Supreme Court could revise Roe v. Wade. As terrible as that would be, what the Supreme Court has the power to decide is under what circumstances the right to an abortion is federally protected. Rolling back Roe would not make abortion illegal throughout the country, but could let state legislatures set their own rules. Today we’re going to focus on making states protectors of reproductive rights.
